JKD - Jeet Kune Do
FMA - Filipino Martial Arts
ISG - Integrated Submission Grappling
mixed - The mixed bag class; includes elements from all arts.
core - Combative core conditioning.

Basic - Focuses on the basics. The jab, the cross, the hook, the side kick, etc. This is where you work on the tools of the trade. This class pretty much goes at the pace of whomever is in the class.

Intermediate - This is where you begin to put all of the tools together and start testing where they are effective. Things really start moving forward and the pace of the class is taken up a knotch. Expect your body and mind to be smokin' by the end of the session.

Advanced - Continuing to trim away the unessentials and really test what you are learning. Sparring is a key component of this; so this class includes a lot of sparring.

Fighters - This class is a required class for those on the FMU Fight Team; however, for everyone else, it's a great way to get and keep in shape.

Although each time slot is outlined as being this or that, understand that we are primarily a combative martial arts school. As such, at the end of the day elements from all styles or systems may mix in with the primary curriculum because of their effectiveness for a particular situation. In addition to this, most of the arts that we teach are mixed martial arts at their core; their evolution included borrowing and incorporating ideas and techniques from many sources (styles, cultures, etc.). The most important thing regarding the schedule is that of the Basic, Intermediate and Advanced notations.
